Piva Casa Sicura RC2
It is calculated that 80% of break-ins involving houses occur by forcing windows and French doors, the typical weak link of our homes and the first element that needs to be protected when it comes to house security.
  • sicurezza 1Security hardware
special steel strikes located within the perimeter of the door or window for withstanding attempted breakins.
  • sicurezzaAnti-Drill plate
to protect hardware and also the door or window against drilling of the leaf/sash by the burglar.
  • sicurezzaKeyed handle
for locking the opening mechanism of the handle to prevent the latter from being manoeuvred from the outside.
  • sicurezza 4P4A safety glass
capable of withstanding strong and repeated impacts with iron bars, hammers and blunt objects in general. The glass is made up of a sequence of glass sheets and films that improve its resistance.

The combination of these elements makes the doors or windows RC2 Class burglar-proof.

What is meant by rc2 class burglarproofing?

RC (which refers to Resistance Class) indicates the resistance class required to certify the burglarproof properties of a door or window.

The resistance classes are defined through a testing procedure, using tools and methods used by burglars during robberies, to test the door or window’s resistance to burglary.

Burglar-resistant does not mean that a door or window is impenetrable, but refers to its capacity to withstand an attempted burglary, using various tools within a specific interval to discourage the burglar’s efforts.

Piva’s RC2 doors and windows do not alter the visual appearance. The burglar-proof characteristics are housed within an elegant design casing, because security does not imply less beauty.
